Scribe: I'm male, working class, born in 1967. I got married in 1989, and she hasn't divorced me yet. We live in a one-bedroomed flat in South London. I work for a london borough council, in a job which involves meeting the public. Both council and public drive me mad. This is about my attempts to become a writer. For as long as I can remember, I've loved making up stories. It was about the only thing I was ever any good at, and from the age of twelve or so I've dreamed of making a living that way. The dream has changed over the years. I've written stage, radio and tv plays, short stories and even a novel. I haven't given up trying to sell my writing, get it published or performed. I've just come through a two-decade writer's block, and made countless mistakes. If you're a writer, perhaps you can take comfort from that, perhaps even learn from my mistakes. Maybe they'll give you a good laugh. This blog is about my life, thoughts, feelings, and my attempts to make my dream come true.
